Meet Marialice Curran Co Founder of Digital Citizenship Summit

The Digital Citizenship Institute is committed to promoting social good through the use of technology and social media. Turning the tide away from the negative stories on cyberbullying, sexting, trolling, tech addiction and inappropriate uses of technology, the Institute extends this conversation to amplify the positive. Viewing social media as a powerful learning tool, the focus is on encouraging practical solutions for students, schools and all communities. We do this by embedding core skills and concepts into all grades and subjects, putting ideas into action and transforming problems into opportunities.

The Digital Citizenship Institute provides a community-driven approach to educating and empowering digital citizens to solve problems in local, global and digital communities. The Digital Citizenship Institute turns negatives into positives with a focus on social good and further helps to transform participants into designers, creative thinkers, global collaborators, problem solvers and justice-oriented digital citizens.

By embedding Dr. Mike Ribble's nine elements of digital citizenship into best practices, research, curriculum and instruction, professional development, digital citizenship experiences, workshops & events, we transform digital citizens into digital leaders. Our team is focused on building communities of best practice.

Our services include: Research & Best Practices, Curriculum and Instruction, Consulting, Coaching & Professional Development, Digital Citizenship Experiences including workshops & events, DigCitKids (digital citizenship for kids by kids) Student Centered Curriculum, Activities & Challenges, Digital Citizenship Community Development and Keynote & Speaking Opportunities.
