Construction of Roads Regularly can prevent Flooding. DELTA State Nigeria community project on how to avoid Flooding

TESTIMONY OF AN EYE WITNESS
ASABA FLOODING. : WHAT IS THIS OKOWA GOVT DOING ABOUT IT?
Akamesike Manuel O'coney
Before you allow people who live in anger and envy to start polluting your mind about the issue of flooding in Asaba, always take your time to ask yourself some vital questions. For the benefit of those outside the state and who rely on information from the social or print media or even gossips to know what is happening in the state, I am bringing to you the current situation of things from Asaba.
I was there, I saw it and I spoke with the engineers. I am bold to say that Gov OKOWA'S govt is doing something big about the flooding. The govt is committed to tackling the issue . As at today, I can conveniently tell you that the Chukwuma Nzeogwu and DLA roads including Jesus Saves road have been concluded and as soon as this underground drainage/storm water control is completed, Asaba will be having these 3 roads in place. The 2 next major roads that will be following after these are Mariam Babangida Way and the Asaba-Kwale road.
Yes, I can confidently say it that the govt of Gov Okowa is doing something seriously concerning the issue of Asaba flooding. Do not allow those who in their true mind never liked or supported the development of Asaba to try using politics to deceive you about the true intent of this govt towards Asaba development.
Things may not have been running at the speed we all expected but the truth remains that something is happening.
Before they start twisting your thoughts about the above pictures and assertion, what you see here is real. There are not photoshopped. Take a drive or walk to Old Anwai road around the FMC,Asaba and you will see this wonder.
When next they come with issue of flooding in Asaba or they bring any of those old pictures of flooding in Asaba, quietly tell them that I, Akamesike said that govt is tackling the issue seriously. Do not let them get away free with their political propaganda. Speaking to me, one of the expatriate engineers handling the project assured me that when this project is completed, the case of flooding in Asaba will become a thing of the past.
Note it down again . When they bring up the flooding issue in Asaba as if they really care about Asaba development, tell them to their face that the Dr OKOWA'S govt is seriously tackling that problem and very soon, the flooding you see in Asaba now, you will see it no more.
Speaking to me on a "Bare it all" interview, Gov Okowa reiterated his honest commitment to the development of the state capital and entire state for as long as our resources permits.
He deserves our support. Criticise him constructively and use the Public Bureau Service to share your ideas on how best the state can be served. It is our state and governors come and go.
Stop throwing stones carelessly but rather gather your stones and take it to the Public Bureau Service . The state needs all of us. Be a positive Deltan.
IT SHALL GET BETTER FOR US AND OUR LAND!
